Profile: I have recently completed my A levels and am currently awaiting my results. I have also joined the STEP CONNECT2 sales team for the first part of my gap year, where I am gaining valuable experience in sales, events and client communication.
As an aspiring events professional, I am passionate about connecting people, building genuine relationships and creating conversations that lead to opportunity. I am particularly interested in the sales side of the events industry and am excited to learn more about how strong communication, confidence and teamwork help create successful events and partnerships.
Sport has always been a big part of my life. I have represented Sussex in both hockey and rugby, which has helped me develop resilience, discipline and the ability to perform under pressure. I bring that same energy, focus and competitive mindset into my work.
For nearly two years, I have also worked front of house at The Blue Anchor, where I have gained hands-on experience in customer service, communication and managing busy environments. Working in hospitality has strengthened my confidence, professionalism and ability to engage positively with a wide range of people.
Later this year, I will be travelling through South-East Asia and Australia for a few months before returning to continue gaining sales and work experience during the rest of my gap year. I am looking forward to building my skills, learning from those around me and developing a long-term career in the events industry
