Types of Information Gathered

There are two primary types of information provided by Step Connect2 Ltd customers. The definitions and treatments of these types are as follows:

Financial Information: Payment information gathered during the registration process – including, but not limited to, credit card details, financial institutions and expiration dates – is considered Financial. This information is not distributed under any circumstances.

Payments for delegate places, awards places, stands and/or sponsorship are either made to Step Connect2 Ltd by Worldpay or by an invoice(s) generated by our accounts team.

Professional Information: Data that customers provide to Step Connect2 Ltd through various methods of communications with Step Connect2 Ltd is considered professional information that is stored and managed for Step Connect2 Ltd internal use.

Professional information includes, but is not limited to, name, job title, company name, company address, phone number, email address, as well as questions answered on survey or registration forms. Data captured during a customer’s visit to a Step Connect2 Ltd website, as well as during a visit with another Step Connect2 Ltd customer, is also considered professional information and may also be stored for Step Connect2 Ltd internal use.

At Trade Shows

Anyone attending a presentation in one of our conference rooms/theatres at one of our trade shows will have their attendee badge scanned and, through such attendance and scanning, will be agreeing to the passing of their professional information to the presentation host/exhibitor company and to being contacted by the presentation host/exhibitor company and/or speaker in relation to such presentation. Similarly, anyone who agrees to have their attendee badge scanned at an exhibitor’s stand is agreeing to their professional information being retained and used by that exhibitor company for marketing purposes and to the information being passed to Step Connect2 for data analytics purposes.

Webinars & Online Events

Anyone wishing to attend Step Connect2 Ltd online events and/or stream Step Connect2 Ltd webinars will need to enter their details before they can start streaming live or on-demand. In providing their contact information to stream webinars, they are giving their consent for Step Connect2 Ltd to contact them about future online events and other relevant and related activities. Should they wish to stop receiving communication about these events and other relevant and related activities, they will have the option to easily unsubscribe from those emails and mailings they no longer wish to receive.

Your Right to Access & Rectification

You have the right to access a copy of your personal data. You also have the right to have any errors corrected. Access will be subject to verification of your identity.

Your Right to Opt Out

Step Connect2 Ltd will accept, acknowledge and maintain any customer’s request to opt out of future communication from Step Connect2 Ltd. Every email or newsletter we send includes a unsubscribe link enabling you to opt out of receiving further newsletters or mailers.

Step Connect2 Ltd will accept opt-out requests via the contact details below. Please specify in your communication your required opt-out criteria, namely;

In all cases, the opt-out request is processed as soon as we have received your instructions. In practice, this takes immediate effect in respect of digital communications but for printed material you may receive a further magazine/flyer if the mailing labels have already been processed prior to your opt out request.

Children Below the Age of 16

If you are under the age of 16, you may register on the website to receive newsletters or other information but only with the expressed consent of a parental or guardian (a person holding ‘Parental Responsibility’).

If you register to attend one of our events you will need to be in attendance and under the supervision of a parental or guardian (a person holding ‘Parental Responsibility’ for you).

The organisers of Education Estates® (Step Connect2 Ltd) do not, under any circumstances make attendee data available to third parties for resale.
Should you receive an email offering data purporting to be from Education Estates® – or any other event organised by Step Connect2 Ltd – please delete the message, block the sender and do not respond or interact in any way.

Security
