Attending with Confidence Policy
Step Connect2 is continuing to monitor closely the latest public health and Government advice and we are carefully following their guidelines.
There is nothing more important than the wellbeing of the people in our communities, our clients, our attendees and our team.
As such we have created our ‘Attending with Confidence Policy’ which includes encouraging good behavioural practice and deploying physical measures.
We are working closely with venue partners and consultants to ensure the safety and comfort of all those attending our upcoming events.
Registering in Advance
We’re encouraging everyone to register in advance of our upcoming events as we will have reduced onsite registration.
Once you have completed your online registration for the event you wish to attend, a confirmation email with a PDF printable version of the badge will be sent to you. You should print the badge at home or work and bring it with you to enter the event you have registered for.
Please note that onsite at our upcoming events you will have the option to register but this will be done by scanning a QR code and may take significantly longer so we encourage everyone to register in advance online.
Face Coverings or Face Screens
At our upcoming events we will have face coverings available, if you wish to wear one. As per Government guidelines, face coverings or face screens will be recommended but not mandatory for all attendees. If these guidelines are updated by the Government we will update our policy.
Please respect this request which is a precautionary measure in line with current Government guidelines to protect everyone attending.
Gels or hydroalcoholic solutions will be available throughout our upcoming events for all to use. There will be signs in all communal areas, registration and entry to remind everyone of health and safety protocols.
Whilst social distancing is also no longer legally required, measures will be taken at our upcoming events to avoid over-crowding in certain areas, and also to ensure a measure of distancing in conference areas where people remain seated for periods of time.
Manchester Central Ventilation & Filtration
The hall works on a recirculation air basis with Carbon dioxide sensors monitoring the air quality and if the levels rise above 1000 ppm the fresh air dampers will open. This function will be overridden and the ventilation will be on 100 percent fresh air and 100 percent extraction.
The filtration system is panel filters and then bag filters on the supply intake and the air is distributed at high level from ductwork and then diffusers. The extraction system is high level ductwork.
All venues for our upcoming events will be cleaned at an increased frequency with additional focus on areas such as: catering, toilets, seating, meeting areas and registration.
Participants will be asked not to attend if they are feeling unwell, and we will follow local health authority guidance on detecting and managing anyone who displays symptoms of COVID-19.
We also have our ‘Registering in Confidence Guarantee’ for our upcoming events which can be viewed on the event websites.
